Support Transgender Law Center

This is a personal request to my friends, supporters, and allies to support the Transgender Law Center in San Francisco. This organization has created more lasting change for the Transgender Community since it’s inception than most equal rights organizations that I know. It has been there for the transgender community in California assisting with birth certificate changes, new laws for the protection of the rights of transgender’s, and working directly with corporations and their insurance policies to cover the cost of sexual reassignment surgery. Every day is a challenge for the law center who works tiredly not only assisting the transgender community for free but has come outside the box on every bit of work they do. When no one else would they have stepped in and provided legal assistance to those in dire need of representation when discrimination became an issue.

The Law Center needs assistance with fundraising for 2012 to continue it’s undeniably crucial efforts to continue providing the best possible legal assistance to our community. I am making my own personal pledge to support them on a monthly basis and will continue to support them for years to come. I am asking you to do the same.

  1. In the beginning of Chase appearance it was so apparent that he was scared and unsure of being in public, not just public but in front of millions on live TV. But as the weeks went by you could see his eyes relax and the person inside come out.I hope his experience was worth it for him.
Me relating to him came from his being overweight and being out there in front of millions. Good strength for all us black sheep to watch. He will be missed.

    • Thanks Charlene. Yes for all of us he has broken new ground and found great courage and strength through his efforts. I am grateful to him for many things especially the fact that he’s using his celebrity status to ease the suffering of our younger generation. I pray that life will be different once they reach adulthood and they can live in a world where they are accepted for who they are and what they accomplish rather than the disgraceful hate spouted by so many for any one who is different than what they consider the norm to be.
